The moral of the tale

The moral of this fairy tale reminds us that while rest is essential, embracing the world around us and sharing experiences with loved ones can bring lasting happiness and fulfillment.

Let’s read a fairy tale “The Bunny’s Choice: Sleep or Friendship?”

There was a bunny who loved to relax. He lived in his burrow in the forest and did what he liked. On Friday evening he went to his soft bed and thought about how he would spend his weekend.

Oh, how I want to sleep until noon, – the bunny dreamed. – And then I’ll go to the pond and swim. And I’ll also visit my friend beaver and play chess with him. And I’ll see my girlfriend fox and give her a flower. What wonderful plans I have!
But not everything is so simple in life. The next morning the bunny was awakened by a voice from outside.

Bunny, bunny, come out to me! – someone called.
The bunny rubbed his eyes and saw his neighbor hedgehog at the window.

What do you want? – asked the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Oh, come on, sleep! – said the hedgehog. – It’s such a nice weather! Let’s go hunting together!

Hunting? – wondered the bunny. – And what will we hunt for?

For ants, of course! – answered the hedgehog. – They are so tasty and crunchy! You won’t refuse such a treat, will you?

I refuse! – said the bunny. – I don’t eat ants! I eat grass and vegetables!

Well then let’s play soccer! – suggested the hedgehog. – I have a ball and two goals!

Soccer? – wondered the bunny again. – But I don’t know how to play soccer!

It doesn’t matter! – said the hedgehog. – The main thing is to have fun!

I don’t want to! – said the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Well then help me clean my burrow! – suggested the hedgehog. – I have such a mess!

Clean your burrow? – couldn’t believe his ears the bunny. – Are you kidding?

No, I’m serious! – said the hedgehog. – Please help me!

Impossible! – said the bunny. – I won’t do your work!

And he closed the door behind him.

Oh, how boring you are! – was offended by the hedgehog and went away.
The bunny returned to his bed and hoped that no one else would bother him.

But after a while he heard another voice.

Bunny, bunny, come out to me! – someone called.
The bunny rubbed his eyes again and saw his other neighbor ram at the window.

What do you want? – asked the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Oh, come on, sleep! – said the ram. – It’s such a wonderful day! Let’s play checkers!

Checkers? – asked the bunny. – But I was going to play checkers with beaver!

It doesn’t matter! – said the ram. – The main thing is to be interesting!

I don’t want to! – said the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Well then help me shear my wool! – suggested the ram. – I have such a long and hot wool!

Shear your wool? – couldn’t believe his eyes the bunny. – Are you kidding?

No, I’m serious! – said the ram. – Please help me!

Impossible! – said the bunny. – I won’t do your work!

And he closed the window behind him.

Oh, how lazy you are! – was offended by the ram and walked away.
The bunny returned to his pillow and hoped that there was no third.

But after a while there was another knock.

Bunny, bunny, come out to me! –
called someone.

The bunny rubbed his eyes for the third time and saw his girlfriend fox at the door.

What do you want? – asked the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Oh, come on, sleep! – said the fox. – It’s such a beautiful day! Let’s go to the pond and swim together!

To the pond and swim? – asked the bunny. – But I was going to go to the pond by myself!

It doesn’t matter! – said the fox. – The main thing is to be romantic!

I don’t want to! – said the bunny. – I want to sleep!

Well then give me a flower! – suggested the fox. – I have such a bad mood!

Give you a flower? – couldn’t believe his nose the bunny

Are you kidding?
No, I’m serious – said the fox. – Please, give me a flower.

Impossible! – said the bunny. – I won’t give you a flower.

And he wanted to close the door behind him, but the fox didn’t let him do that.

Listen, bunny – said the fox.

  • You can’t just refuse your friends like that. They want to spend time with you, and you want to only sleep. That’s not nice.

But I love sleeping so much – protested the bunny.

Sleeping can be done at night. – said the fox – And during the day you need to live and enjoy. Look how beautiful it is around. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming. So why don’t you enjoy it with us?

The bunny thought and realized that the fox was right.

Maybe you’re right… – said the bunny. – Maybe I overdid it with sleep Maybe I should be more sociable and cheerful…

Of course you should – said the fox. Then you will be happy and satisfied!

Okay okay… – said the bunny. Let’s play checkers then. And then we’ll go to the pond and swim. And we’ll also visit hedgehog and help him clean his burrow. And we’ll also shear ram’s wool. And also…

The bunny suddenly smiled and felt that he had energy and desire to live.

The fox also smiled and hugged her friend.

That’s it! – said the fox.- Way to go, bunny!

And together they went to play checkers.

And then they did everything they planned.

And they were very happy.

And the bunny learned to enjoy life and not miss any day.

The end.
